Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CoFam LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating as CoFam ("CoFam," "we," "us"), governing your use of the CoFam apps and the getcofam.com website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

CoFam is an organizational tool for families raising children across two households: a shared custody calendar, expense tracking with receipts and settle-ups, child and member profiles, shared and private notes, a change history, and calendar feeds you can subscribe to in other calendar apps. Features may change as the Service evolves.

Who can use CoFam

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. CoFam is for adults coordinating the care of children; it is not directed to children, and children may not hold accounts. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

Accounts and your family

CoFam is designed for two households to share one family. One parent (the sponsor) maintains the subscription, and the co-parent's access is included at no additional charge — the co-parent's access never depends on who pays. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for inviting only people you intend to share family information with. Each member's access is limited by the role assigned to them.

Subscriptions, free trial, and auto-renewal

CoFam offers auto-renewable subscriptions billed monthly or annually per family, and may from time to time offer one-time (lifetime) purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple In-App Purchase and charged to your Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase; we use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status. CoFam never receives your payment-card number.

New subscribers may be offered a free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your account will be charged. Each subscription then renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. We may change prices prospectively; any change will be presented through the App Store and will not affect the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies; we generally cannot issue refunds directly for store-processed purchases.

If a subscription lapses, both households retain read-only access to the calendar, expenses, and records for ninety (90) days, during which either parent may resubscribe to restore full access. We do this so a missed payment never locks a family out of their schedule.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service to harass, surveil, threaten, or harm another person; upload content you do not have the right to share; attempt to access another family's data or otherwise breach the Service's security; reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. CoFam is built for cooperative coordination; it is not a tool for monitoring another parent.

Your content

You retain ownership of the information and content you put into CoFam — your schedules, expenses, photos, notes, and records belong to you and your family. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your family. This license ends when the content is deleted. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Not legal, medical, or financial advice

CoFam is an organizational tool. It is not a law firm or a substitute for a custody order, legal advice, medical advice, or professional financial advice, and nothing in the Service constitutes any of those.

Records and exports. The Service lets you view and export records of your family's schedule, expenses, and change history, including exports formatted for sharing with professionals or in legal proceedings. These records are generated from the information members of your family entered, and CoFam does not verify them. They are provided for informational purposes only: we make no representation or warranty about their accuracy, completeness, suitability, or admissibility as evidence in any court or proceeding. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use them, and you should consult a licensed attorney about any legal matter.

Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party services, such as the Apple App Store, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and payment apps like Venmo or Cash App. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. CoFam does not process payments between parents; payment links simply hand off to the service you choose.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoFam and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid CoFam in the twelve months before the claim or fifty U.S. dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app; data deletion works as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Please contact us first at help@getcofam.com — most issues can be resolved informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, and you and CoFam waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, except where prohibited by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
