First-time setup

One parent installs CoFam, signs up, and creates the family. The app generates an 8-character invite code. Text it to your co-parent. They install CoFam, tap Join family, type the code, and land on a ratification screen where they review the schedule, colors, and approval rules already configured. Both calendars are live in under three minutes.

Caregivers, grandparents, step-parents, nannies, the kids’ school, join the same way with a separate invite code. Their access is role-scoped: caregivers see the schedule and handoff notes, view-only members see pickup and dropoff windows. Neither sees expenses or settings. Calendar sync with Apple, Google, and Outlook

CoFam publishes per-member iCal feeds you can subscribe to from any calendar app. Each subscriber sees only what their role allows: the school’s view-only feed shows pickup windows, grandma’s feed shows her nights, you see everything. The feed updates automatically when the CoFam schedule changes, no manual export required.

Subscribe from Apple Calendar via Add Account → Other → Add CalDAV Account and paste your personal CoFam feed URL from Settings → Calendar sync. Google Calendar: Other calendars → From URL. Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web.
